Judy Michaels is a poet in the schools for the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation and artist in residence at Princeton Day School in Princeton, New Jersey. Her book Risking Intensity (The National Council of Teachers of English 1999) is about reading and writing poetry with high school students. Her next book, Dancing with Words, is to be published in spring 2001. Michaels' poems have appeared or are forthcoming in Poetry, Woman's Review of Books, and other journals, and she has published book reviews in America Book Review.
