Establishing Effective Aboriginal Relationships

Dear %%fullname%%,

This program is an exploration designed to help you better understand Aboriginal interests, and enhance your communication with Aboriginal communities. You will learn how to build effective relationships during this interactive, three-day program that will draw upon The Banff Centre's successful 57-year history of leadership development programming.

Through best practice case studies and live simulations, you will have an opportunity to practice what you learn, and work through your own challenges. Our faculty members will share their diverse industry, government, and community perspectives.

This program is designed for leaders and front-line employees from resource development organizations and utilities such as oil and gas, mining, forestry, and energy. It is also ideal for government service workers who interact with Aboriginal communities in areas including police services, housing, and transportation.

Faculty include:

Lee Schmidt, an Associate at the Vancouver law firm, Peter Grant & Associates,
   working exclusively for Aboriginal peoples across Canada;
 Dorothy Myo, President, Saskatchewan Indian Cultural Centre and Aboriginal
   awareness educator.
