Diverse as this Land

Moana and the Tribe, photo by Rebecca Swan

Diverse as this Land features a national and international mix of Indigenous music representing electronic, rock, folk, traditional, and contemporary genres.

Fusing traditional Maori music with elements of contemporary soul, reggae, and classical genres, Moana and the Tribe tap into their Maori roots to bring contemporary New Zealand music to the world. Lead singer Moana Maniapoto enthralls audiences with her powerful lyrics and mesmerizing vocals.

This year’s concerts also feature the talents of award-winning musicians Tracy Bone and J.C. Campbell (Ojibwe/Cree) from Manitoba. Winners of an Aboriginal People’s Choice Award, their music fuses blues, country and rock for a dynamic sound.
