A scene from the 1991 Banfff Arts Festival production of Cosi Fan Tutte.
“The most satisfying and elusive of Mozart operas.” - New York Times
Directed by Joel Ivany, conducted by David Agler, this is the opera where Mozart asks, are only men unfaithful? Two young men go undercover to test the fidelity of their lady loves. Mozart’s delightfully comic battle of the sexes returns to The Banff Centre stage for the first time in 20 years. Filled with ravishingly beautiful music, Cosi Fan Tutte’s clever plot was bracingly politically incorrect 220 years ago! Sung in Italian with English super-titles.
There will be pre-show chats in the Eric Harvie West lobby 45 minutes prior to each Opera performances.
