Chantal Dumas

Chantal Dumas is a Montreal based sound artist working in radio, composition, improvisation, and sound installation. She has just finished Riding Along with Ferrari, with Kunstradio Radiokunst (ORF, Austria) (http://www.kunstradio.at/2006A/28_05_06.html).

Chantal’s previous radio work Elle a produit l’automne denier, Limbo (‘7)  was created for Sveriges Radio SR C, Sweden, xii-05. The work is broadcasted on local and public radios airwaves and also broadcasted during the festival in Europe, Canada, United States, and Australia. Prior to this work,  Tanz (2005) a commission from DeutschlandRadio Berlin was nominated for phonurgia nova (France). Le petit home dans l’oreille won the documentary prize in 1991. Le parfum des femmes in 1997 received a first prize with the EAR Competition (Hungary), as well as the SACD/fiction price of the 7th Contest of Phonurgia Nova (France).
