Barbara Klar
Poet Barbara Klar lives in Saskatoon. Her first book, The Night You Called Me a Shadow, won the Gerald Lampert Award. The Blue Field, her second book, was nominated for the 1999 Saskatchewan Book Award for Poetry. Klar is also the author of the chapbook, Tower Road, from JackPine Press. Cypress, published in 2008, is her third book-length collection. Cypress takes the reader on a spiritual/meditative journey into memory and the landscape of Cypress Hills. The poems narrow the distance between nature and people, yet widen the deeper connections that can be found within the imagination and the landscape.
