Myrna Kostash

Myrna Kostash is a Canadian non-fiction writer and award-winning author of several books, including Bloodlines: A Journey into Eastern Europe, All of Baba’s Children, The Doomed Bridegroom: A Memoir, The Next Canada: In Search of the Future Nation, and most recently, the anthology, Reading the River. She has published numerous articles in cultural and literary magazines and was the chair of the Writers’ Union of Canada from 1993 to 1994. Kostash has recently been writer-in-residence at the Saskatoon Public Library, the University of Alberta, and in Campbell River, B.C. She is the co-founder and current president of the Creative Nonfiction Collective. She lives in Edmonton, Alberta.
