Bob Moses

Bob Moses is President and Chief Technical Officer of Island Digital Media Group, a consulting firm specializing in networked audio systems. Previously, he was cofounder and VP Engineering of Digital Harmony Technologies, which pioneered entertainment networking technologies for the professional audio, IT, and consumer electronics industries. During his career Moses has worked with several dozen firms, including: Rane, Symetrix, JBL, Peavey, Apple, Microsoft, Intel, Digidesign, Alesis, BridgeCo, AKM, Dolby, Cirrus Logic, Harman Consumer Group, Meridian, Paradigm, Echo, Texas Instruments, M-Audio, Denon, Onkyo, and others.

Moses is very active in the AES, serving as a Governor from 1999-2001, and as Western Region Vice President from 2001-present. He served as Program Cochairman of the 13th International AES Conference in 1994, and Chairman of the 18th International AES Conference in 2001. He has also been very active in the AES Standards Committee, chairing numerous working groups since 1989 and currently serving as Vice Chairman of the SC-06-02 Working Group on Pro Audio applications of IEEE 1394.

A prolific writer, Moses has published numerous AES papers, chaired sessions at many AES Conventions, co-authored the book Digital Projects for Musicians with Craig Anderton, and written numerous articles for the pro audio trade press. He has also served as an instructor at CEDIA from 1997 - 2002. Moses was awarded the IEEE Life Member Award in 1987 and the AES Board of Governors Award in 2001.
