Suzanne Cotter

Suzanne Cotter is Curator of Exhibitions for the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi. She previously held positions as senior curator and deputy director at Modern Art Oxford, curator at the Hayward Gallery, London, chief curator at Whitechapel, London and exhibition organizer at the Serpentine Gallery, London. Cotter received a postgraduate diploma in cultural leadership from the City University, London, a MA from the Courtauld Institute of Art, London, and a Diplôme du Premier Cycle from the Ecole du Louvre, Paris. She has curated solo exhibitions for Piero Manzoni, Lucio Fontana and Paul Klee, in collaboration with Bridget Riley and Robert Kudielka. As senior curator at Modern Art Oxford she curated solo exhibitions of Monica Bonvicini, Jake and Dinos Chapman, Mike Nelson, Angela Bulloch, Cecily Brown, Fiona Tan, Jannis Kounellis, Daniel Buren, Imran Qureshi and Trisha Donnelly and group exhibitions that include Transmission Interrupted (2009), Seth Price/Kelley Walker/Continuous Project (2007), Out of Beirut (2006) and Real World: The Dissolving Space of Experience (2004). Cotter recently contributed essays to Silke Otto-Knapp: Present Time Exercise (Walther Konig, Köln, 2010), Contemporary Art in the Middle East (Black Dog Pub Ltd, London, 2009) and an upcoming publication Michael Clark (Violette Editions, New York, 2010). She served as a jury member for the 2008 Turner Prize through the Tate Britain, London.
