
Fred Stenson
An Alberta-based writer of fiction, non-fiction, and film, his most recent novel, The Great Karoo (2008, Doubleday Canada), was nominated for the Governor General's Literary Award in Fiction and is a nominee for the 2009 Commonwealth Writers Prize for Best Book. His two previous novels, Lightning and The Trade, won Alberta's Grant MacEwan Author's Prize. The Trade was nominated for the Giller Prize. His other fiction titles include Teeth, Working Without Laugh Track, and Lonesome Hero. His guide to the craft of fiction, Thing Feigned or Imagined, is published by Banff Centre Press.
