Self-directed Residencies
Film & Media’s Self-directed Residency program provides a rich, well-supported environment for professional development for artists in Digital Media, Research, Film and Audio.
Self-directed Residencies in Film & Media: An Overview
Film & Media Self-directed Residencies offer researchers, artists, producers, content creators, and other makers the opportunity to realize their goals on projects that range from interstitial productions to arts performance to documentary. These residencies are ideal for individuals and teams who want time and space to create new works, research innovative ideas, and experiment with different techniques and modes of production. Projects in all stages, from experimentation to production, are welcome
Facilities are available to help participants develop all aspects of pre- and post-production for their project. Staff and Work Study Program participants are on hand to provide advice and hands-on support for the project. The department’s largest area of focus is directed towards opportunities in film, digital media, and audio.
