Books on the Centre include: Donald Cameron, Campus in the Clouds (Toronto: McClelland and Stewart, 1956); E.A. Corbett, We Have With Us Here Tonight (Toronto: Ryerson Press, 1957); David and Peggy Leighton, Artists, Builders and Dreamers: 50 Years at the Banff School (Toronto: McClelland and Stewart, 1982); and M.J. Thompson, The Banff Centre: Mountain Campus (Banff: Altitude Publishing, 1993).
Films documenting Centre activities include Holiday at School (National Film Board, 20 minutes, 1946), directed by Leslie McFarlane, Campus in the Clouds (Camera Canada, 29 minutes, 1966), directed by Norman Caton, Growing (Canadian Broadcast Corporation, 17 minutes, 1976), directed by Kim Wheeler, and From Bears to Bartok (National Film Board, 48 minutes, 1983), directed by Reevan Dolgoy. The first two films are available from the National Film Board.
Histories of Banff Centre programs are available for Dance, Drama, and Opera and Song from the Theatre Arts division.
Records of the Banff Centre for the period 1933-1967 are in the custody of the University of Alberta Archives.
