Instruction/Workshops
The library offers customized information literacy instruction and workshops on the subjects of information science, technology, and research. Contact the for information about a custom workshop.

Listening/Viewing:
The library provides playback equipment for cassette tapes, phonograph records, compact discs and digital audio tape. For video playback, VHS and 3/4 inch (U-matic) tape formats can be accommodated in the NTSC format. DVD playback is available in PAL or NTSC format. In addition, light tables and slide carousels for 35mm slides are available.

Interlibrary Loans:
Interlibrary loan services are offered to long-term participants who require materials to support ongoing work at The Banff Centre. Since most libraries have some restrictions on materials accessed, please consult the librarian for further information. Generally, there is no charge for this service.

Internet/E-mail/Word Processing/etc.: Wireless Internet access is available for those patrons with 802.11b or 802.11g enabled laptops. The library also has six IBM NetVista PC's available for those attending Banff Centre programs. Each computer is equipped with Internet Explorer and Netscape (for access to the internet and web-based e-mail providers such as Yahoo and Hotmail). Each computer also has access to Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) for word processing, presentations, etc. Please note that the library does offer printing services from these workstations at a cost of $0.10 per page (on previously used paper on one side) or $0.25 per page on new paper.
