Pavlo takes the stage at The Banff Centre with energetic Mediterranean sound

Pavlo is a composer, guitarist, singer, recording artist, and master showman. Together with his band, he presents a fiery blend of Flamenco, Latin, classical, jazz, and Greek, melded into a unique Mediterranean sound. Enthralling his ever-growing fanbase with his personality and stage presence, he delivers a mix of ballads and up-tempo pieces. Pavlo will captivate audiences at The Banff Centre’s Margaret Greenham Theatre, April 8.

Of Greek descent, born and raised in Canada, Pavlo started playing guitar when he was 10 years old. Formally trained in classical, flamenco, blues, rock, and Greek music, Pavlo has released five of his own recordings and has been featured on more than a dozen compilation albums all over the world.

He was nominated for a Juno in 2000 for his album Fantasia, and in 2004 won the category for ‘World Artist of the Year’ at the Canadian Independent Music Awards. His new CD, Irresistible features song co-writes with the likes of Dean Mactaggart (Wynona Judd, Amanda Marshall), John Capek (Rod Stewart, Cher), and Brian Allen (Heart).
