Sara Diamond to represent The Banff Centre at International Art Fair in Madrid
|
More than 250
leading figures from the art world, representing over 280 galleries and 30
countries, will meet in Madrid, Spain from February 13 to 18 for ARCO 2003 - one
of the largest international meetings in contemporary arts. Sara Diamond,
artistic director / executive producer, Media and
Visual Arts at The Banff Centre, is a panelist at the event. Diamond is part of the "New Technologies and New Art Forms" series of discussions, which features the world’s leading architect, Rem Koolhaas, of the Office for Metropolitan Architecture, The Netherlands. Other panelists include Pierre Lévy, Canada Research Chair on Collective Intelligence, Université d’Ottawa; and moderator Ángel Kalenberg, Director, National Museum of Visual Arts, Montevideo, Uruguay. "It is a thrill to represent The Banff Centre at ARCO, a major gathering that combines international dialogue around contemporary visual art, media art, architecture and design, with an extensive exhibition program and art market," says Diamond.
