Concerts Every Week at the Centre
Join us in Rolston Recital Hall at The Banff Centre for concerts every week! Music & Sounds Fall Concert Season begins this Wednesday, October 11, and runs until December 8, 2000.
Musicians from all over the world come to Banff to participate in a 10-week residency program which offers them an opportunity to concentrate on achieving their musical goals. While at Music & Sound, musicians expand their artistic insight through rehearsal, performance opportunities and interaction with fellow musicians and internationally recognized visiting artists. For audiences, this translates into a wonderful opportunity to hear incredibly talented musicians perform at the Centre every week.
Bring your lunch and enjoy the Music at Noon series, every Wednesday at 12:00 noon in Rolston Recital Hall. These concerts are pay-what-you-can, and feature chamber and classical repertoire by musicians in Music & Sounds residency program.
The Friday Evening concert series runs from October 13 until December 8 and will feature collaborative performances from our resident musicians and visiting artists. In the month of October, visiting artists include cellist Laurence Lesser (USA), violinist Masuko Ushioda Lesser (USA) and flutist Carol Wincenc from USA.
The popular Canmore Sundays concert series begins once again on October 22 at the Canmore Collegiate High School Theatre. Every Sunday at 2:30 pm, musicians from the program travel to Canmore and present audiences with varied and dynamic concert repertoire. These informal afternoon events are co-hosted by Music & Sounds artistic director, Isobel Moore Rolston, and the students from Canmore Collegiate High School.
For further details or tickets, please call The Banff Centre Box Office at 762-6301. Friday evening concerts are $15 for adults and $10 for seniors/students. Sundays and noon-hour concerts are pay-what-you-can.
