Over 40 international musicians, representing the countries of Canada, the United States, Israel, Russia, and Korea, take part in the three-week Art of the Ensemble chamber music program. Under the guidance of three distinguished visiting artists, this program focuses on some of the most glorious repertoire ever written for the small ensemble. Lorand Fenyves, a Hungarian-born violinist, has been associated with The Banff Centre since 1973. He is on the faculty of the University of Toronto. Cellist Laurence Lesser is the former president of the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. Seymour Lipkin has recently returned to extensive concertizing after many years as an acclaimed conductor and music director in the United States.

Art of the Ensemble runs from June 14 to the 28^th (see below for details). Tickets are FREE to Arts Lover Pass holders, and otherwise $15 adults, and $10 for students/seniors and $8 for children. Take special note of the Summer Solstice Celebration on Friday, June 21 at 8 pm in the Rolston Recital Hall. Enjoy the longest day of the year with a serenade of sounds, a magnificent view of the smoldering sunset and a sweet slice of dessert. Arts Lover Pass holders get in free to this festive event, while otherwise tickets for the Summer Solstice Celebration are only $18 for adults and $12 for students/seniors and $8 for children. Price includes coffee/tea and a selection from the dessert buffet.
