Readings from the Writing Studio begin at The Banff Centre

The Banff Centre’s 70th consecutive
season of summer arts programming began on Thursday, May 2 with the first night
of Readings from the Writing Studio. Greg Hollingshead, Director, Writing
Programs at The Banff Centre was the first of several distinguished participants
and faculty to read from new work in the intimate Bentley Chamber Music Studio,
in the Music & Sound building at The Banff Centre.
Readings from the Writing Studio continue throughout the month of May, and feature a who’s who of Canadian literature. Author readings include Giller-prize winner for A Good House, Bonnie Burnard; Metis poet, Marilyn Dumont; novelist Elizabeth Hay; Governor-General’s Award winning poet, Don McKay; and one of Canada’s great poets, P.K. Page.
