Leaders In Business Golf Tournament raises
$50,000 for The Banff Centre
With the support of Stewart Creek golf
course in Canmore and director of golf, Bill Penny, The Banff Centres Leaders in
Business golf tournament, held September 12th raised nearly $50,000 for
programming and scholarship at the Centre.
Points of Interest:
- The tournament has grown by 50 per cent from previous years
and was sold out a month in advance with 144 participants
- Registration was $275.00 per person
- Proceeds will support programming and scholarships at The
Banff Centre
- Participants included Banff Centre Board of Governors
Phil Ponting (Master of Ceremonies) and Allan Collyer
- Other VIPs included Doug Hamilton, president, Columbia
Sportswear; Ed Barry, general manager, Canada Post; Steve Dineen, director of sales,
Canada Post; Sandi Gilbert, vice-president, Globel Direct
- Bagpiper, Bob Warwick piped the participants to their tees
for the event kick-off
