The Banff Centre pitches in and cleans up for Earth
Week
In celebration of Earth Week April 19 to 24, Banff Centre staff are invited to
participate in the annual pitch in and clean up on the Centre grounds. As part
of the hour-long spring-clean, staff members will be supplied with maps, work
gloves and garbage bags for collecting litter and debris in designated areas on
the grounds. Any recyclables will go to the on-site recycling depot which has
been in operation for a year, with daily pickups by the Town of Banff.
What: Pitch-In, Clean-up Day
Where: Meet on the path between the Sally Borden Building and Lloyd Hall
When: Tuesday April 20, 2 pm to 3 pm Staff are
also asked to mark their calendars for a variety of activities that will take
place at The Banff Centre the first week in June in celebration of Environment
Week. They will include a big open house event co-presented by Physical
Facilities, the Environmental Committee, and the Health, Security, Safety and
Environment Department, as well as the launch of the 2004 Think Green
Campaign,the annual Meter Challenge to reduce energy consumption, and more.
