Peter
Croft is a native of British Columbia, Canada and now resides in California, USA. He has
been climbing for 22 years in places such as Canada, USA, Europe, Asia and
Australia.
Croft has an impressive list of first ascents and solo ascents beginning as early as 1982.
His climbs include the first free ascent of University Wall, a Grade V 5.12 in Squamish,
B.C.; the first solo ascent of The Rostrum, a 5.11 in Yosemite; the first one-day climb of
El Capitan and Half Dome; the first traverse of the Waddington Range with Don Serl and
Greg Foweraker; the first solo ascent of Astroman in Yosemite; the first free ascent of
Moonlight Buttress, a Grade V 5.13 in Zion, Utah; the first solo ascent of the Minaret
Traverse, Grade VI; the first ascent of Sponsar Brakk, Pakistan; and, most recently, the
first traverse of the Evolution Peaks (VI, 5.9) in the Sierra Nevada.
