Chevy Avalanche Celebrates the Innovative
Filmmaking of VERTICAL ZOO |
|||||||||||||||||||||
Vertical Zoo:
Dominique Perret is freeride skiing's pre-eminent
athlete, engineer, entrepreneur and ambassador. Skiing since the
age of two, voted Best Freeride Skier of the Century,
Perret continues to set records and break new ground skiing and
filming in the world's most unreachable areas, often under the
most unwelcoming conditions. Through the outdoor sports production
company he founded in 1990, Vertical Zoo, he's produced 45 films,
including several winners at the Banff Mountain Film Festival. Perret is praised for his phenomenal skiing ability, impeccable
safety record and films smooth as silk.Mission: "In an increasingly hectic, urbanized, commercialized world, Vertical Zoo helps reconnect us to the natural elements — sun, wind, sea, snow and mountains — and redefine our physical and mental limits." Wildest Experience: "With a friend, ascending the North Face of Mt. Everest, non-stop and without oxygen — in the pure alpine style — and skiing down from 8,450 meters." P.O.V: "I look at my passion and my work like my ski tracks. I never look back — always to the uncut path ahead." Featured Film: "Timeless" |
