As a journalist and mountain adventurer based in the Bow Valley, Lynn Martel has interviewed dozens of self-propelled adventurers, from skilled weekend warriors to internationally recognized stars of the professional adventure game. In her first book, Expedition to the Edge – Stories of Worldwide Adventure, Martel has assembled 59 compelling and entertaining stories that capture the exploits, hardships, fears, and personal insights of a who’s who of contemporary adventurers.

Lynn’s writing has appeared in the Rocky Mountain Outlook, Whistler Pique Newsmagazine, Calgary Herald, Explore, and WestJet's in-flight magazine up!

Lynn is a 2007 Banff Mountain Grant Award winner.
