Journey Through the Arctic Refuge
Author, photographer, adventurer Jon Waterman started photographing his exhibitions three decades ago. Mostly known for this time exploring the North, Waterman has spent over 200 days in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. He has detailed his northern adventures in six of his nine books, as well as in National Geographic Adventure, Outside, Backpacker, Climbing, and Rock and Ice magazines. In 1995, and again in 2001, he was awarded Best Book – Adventure Travel at the Banff Mountain Book Festival.
Waterman is a 2007 Banff Mountain Grant Award winner.
