Marty von Neudegg was born in Banff, Alberta. The mountain landscape has informed and shaped his life, both personally and professionally. His love of mountain sports is all-encompassing; he is an avid mountain biker, hiker, heli-skier, camper, backcountry skier, climber and traveller.

Von Neudegg’s formal education resulted in a legal career, but, with typical Banff ingenuity and creativity, he found a way to combine his love of the mountains with his profession. For more than 15 years, he has led the marketing team for Canadian Mountain Holidays, the largest and most successful heli-skiing and heli-hiking company in the world. His vision includes safety and quality of experience at the very top of the list. Von Neudegg’s community commitment sees him involved with important mountain cultural institutions such as the Banff Mountain Book Festival and the Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies.
