Eric Saczuk

Eric Saczuk, B.A.,M.A., is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of
Geography at the University of Manitoba. Eric has conducted
research in the Canadian Rockies and the Kullu District of the
Himalaya. His primary areas of expertise lie in GIS and other
computer applications in geomorphology and hydrology. He lives in
Vancouver and teaches on a sessional basis in Geography and
Resource and Environmental Management programs at Simon Fraser
University. Research in the Canadian Rockies, which formed the
basis of Eric’s undergraduate and masters degree theses, and his
Ph.D. thesis research in the Himalaya form the basis of this
paper.
