From her first cartoon, “Hamish Gets the Milk,” to five books of cartoons to gracing the walls of many an alpine club outhouse, Tami Knight has skillfully captured the comedy of the climbing community for over 30 years.

Sacred Headwaters and Great Bear Wild

These exhibits, the result of photographic RAVE expeditions by the International League of Conservation Photographers (iLCP), highlight threats to the headwaters of the Skeena, Nash, and Stikine rivers, and to the Great Bear Rainforest. Join Wade Davis, author, National Geographic Explorer-in-Residence and iLCP Fellow, along with iLCP photographer Paul Colangelo and representatives of the groups supporting the conservation efforts of the Great Bear Rainforest, to learn more about the need to conserve these unique ecosystems.

Alberta Fine Leathers
Uniquely Albertan, Alberta Fine Leathers creates wallets, purses, messenger bags, and duffle bags from bison (buffalo) hide.

Am One Textile Projects
Beautifully handcrafted bags, pouches, cushion covers, and accessories made from antique and recycled kimono fabrics by local fibre artist Mihoko Maeno-McGrath.

Anders Fine Wood Turning
Wood turned fine bowls, hollow forms, vessels and vases, and unique cheese platters all created in Golden, British Columbia.

Barnwood Crafts
Grayson Schalin from Calgary creates his crafts from weathered Alberta wood. He will be bringing an array of bird houses, bird feeders, picture frames, mirrors, benches, and boxes.

Burwash Glassworks
Betty Lynne Burwash, a local Banff artist, inspires with stained glass art pieces reflecting a true mountain theme – celebrating the colours of our surroundings and the beauty of nature.

Sally Dobbin Pottery
From Calgary, Sally Dobbin creates beautifully fired terra-cotta pottery embellished with layers of colourful, painterly slips and glazes.

Max Elliott – Artist
Max Elliott has lived and worked in the mountain parks of Western Canada for most of the past 26 years. Max creates drawings, paintings, mixed-media collages, prints, mosaics, ceramic pieces, and poetry reflecting her love of an ever-changing and inspirational mountain environment.

Elizabeth Ellis Wearable Art
Hand-woven wearable art from sumptuous Alpaca yarn to bamboo to silk, Elizabeth’s fibre art takes the form of scarves, shawls, ponchos, and Mobi-Q’s (ponchos with a twist!). All beautiful, warm and cozy for those perfect Banff evenings (and for daytime too!).

Flying Fish Pottery
Susan Klein, from Calgary.  Hand-made pottery, wheel-thrown or hand-built, altered and assembled before salt firing to achieve unique glaze finishes.

Glass Blower
Barb Kreutter is a glass blower from Calgary and produces a full-range of colourful glass products from vases to ornaments.

Handwoven Treasures
From Beaverlodge, Alberta, craftsperson Karen Loberg hand weaves blankets, scarves, and towels. Her fibres include luxurious Scottish yarns and cashmere in organic natural tones. Sure to please anyone on your Christmas list!

Happy Planet Hats
Stephanie Myers makes unique adult and kids hats from 100% recycled fabrics.Perfect in time for the cooler weather and stocking stuffers.

Holle Hahn – Artist
Alberta artist Holle Hahn works a colourful acrylic, oil, and watercolour palette into wonderful paintings. Her images reflect Albertan and Canadian life and can be found in private collections internationally.

Kari Woo Contemporary Art Jewellery
Kari Woo designs and handcrafts contemporary art jewellery in her Canmore Sudio, using sterling silver, gold and gemstones.

KOFU – Japanese Vintage Fabric
Maho H-Foster has been a well known Canmore-based artist since 2001. She creates fabric art using the age-old beauty of Japanese textiles as her medium. Much of her material is gleaned from vintage kimonos and Obis. The fabric, which she either frames or sews into wall hangings and table runners, is usually silk, either dyed, woven, or embroidered with multi-coloured thread. In many cases, her swatches feature some element of nature – birds, flowers, animals, or landscapes. Maho’s work is currently displayed at Chef’s Studio Japan in Canmore.

Maxiene’s Fibres
A long time Banff Mountain Art and Craft Sale, artist Maxiene Bodgener’s hand-wovens are popular with the Festival crowd! From Lethbridge, Alberta, Maxiene creates beautiful tea towels, placemats, and other lovely items for everyone’s kitchen.

Nature's Creations
Sharon is from Canmore and Lasqueti Island. She makes jewellery, stained glass objects and window hangings - inspired by nature.

Nik Naks Fused Glass
Canmore artist Trisha Nakagawa hand makes fused glass jewellery and home accessories, coasters, bowls, and plates in stylish contemporary colours.

Olinger Art
Well-known Canmore artist and outdoors enthusiast Louise Olinger works primarily in watercolour. All her prints and originals reflect the grandeur of the Canadian Rockies.

Parson River Crossing
Marty Ryan is from Golden, British Columbia, where she conveys her love of mountain places through copper. Her creations include bowls, vessels, bookmarks, and landscape paintings.

peacock & lime
Bright and beautiful hand-blown glass bead and silver bracelets. Contemporary, playful, and eye catching jewellery for all ages!

Shona Rae Studios and Sonja Neven Studios
Professional sculptor Shona Rae carves bone and antler into fantastic narrative objects based on myth and Canadian folklore. Shona’s sculptural work and jewellery has been featured in many international art magazines and books. Sonja is also a creative jewellery artist working in sterling silver and gold with gemstones.

Silly Goat Studio
Original paintings, prints, and art cards by local Banff artist Lynne Huras inspired by the work of Emily Carr. Her work has appeared on CD covers, in children’s books, and at numerous musical events.

Sparks Handcrafted Jewelry
Mary Ann Wiegert creates vibrant handcrafted jewellery made from semi-precious stones, metal, crystal, and lamp worked glass.

The Magpie Room
Jenny Shea from Canmore, Alberta creates delicate copper and brass wall hangings inspired by the rocky mountains. Her metal mosaics and unique ornaments are popular gift items.

Three Four Three Beanies
Noah Furfaro makes funky, colourful, crocheted hats, beanies and toques. Some have pompoms, some have brums, some have vintage buttons - they will make you smile!

Tiffany Teske - Mixed Media Artist
Fine art photographs, collage pieces, cards, and recycled paper journals. Banff artist Tiffany Teske also creates glass and bamboo tile pendants, magnets, as well as recycled gifts for children.

White Owl Ceramic Studio
Laura Sharp from Calgary, who makes pots, bowls, teacups, butter dishes, and platters. Her pieces are thrown on the wheel with porcelain, and she then decorates them with a black slip - and carves each piece. She incorporates images of black birds, leaves, trees, and blossoms onto the work, and is completely inspired by the colours of Lake Louise in the winter. She uses a turquoise glaze on the inside of her pieces which balances the bold contrast of the black and white exterior.

Wood Wizard
Woodworker Bill Wiegert crafts boxes and vessels from domestic and exotic hardwoods. His repertoire also includes cutting boards, clocks, pens, candle holders, rolling pins, bottle stoppers, and wooden toys.
