Jody Berland is a professor in the Department of Humanities, Atkinson College, York University. She has written numerous articles on radio, sound and the media and is corresponding editor of several magazines (Border/Lines, New Formations and Popular Music). She has recently written several of the entries pertaining to broadcasting in the Encyclopedia of Music in Canada.
