Deirdre Dwyer's "That time of the month" was first published in The Fiddlehead and her collection of travel poems, The Breath that Lightens the Body, is forthcoming (Beach Holme 1999). Dwyer holds an MA in English and creative writing (University of Windsor) and participated in various Banff writing programs (1982, 1984, 1995). She lives in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
