Mona Hatoum was born in 1952. She currently lives and teaches in London, England. She studied at Beirut University College, Beirut, Lebanon, the Byam Shaw School of Art and the Slade School of Art, London, England. She has participated in group exhibitions and given performances and video screenings throughout the United Kingdom, and Canada as well as New York City and Amsterdam.
