Judith Mastai is an independent critic and curator and director of the Vancouver Art Forum Society, which publishes Collapse: the view from here. She was head of public programs at the Vancouver Art Gallery for seven years and is currently working on a book-length critical analysis of public art galleries in Canada, the United States, Great Britain and Ireland.
