Shawna Dempsey and Lorri Millan have been collaborating full-time in a variety of media since 1989. They articulate their feminist and lesbian identity through the use of humour in their performance art, video, film, and bookworks. They have created a variety of characters that cleverly disrupt and challenge conventional representations of women, and their interventions in public spaces are as engaging as their stage work. Shawna and Lorri tour extensively, performing their work locally and internationally. Winnipeg is their chosen home.
