Layle Silbert has published more than a hundred stories in literary magazines, as well as poetry and several personal essays. Some of her work is represented in a handful of anthologies. Of the five books she has published, one is a book of poems, three are short stories; the most recent, The Free Thinkers (Seven Stories Press 2000), consists of two novellas. Silbert is also known as a photographer of writers.
