Jorge Silvetti and Rodolfo Machado are Boston-based architects whose firm, Machado and Silvetti Associates Inc., has received eight Progressive Architecture awards and numerous prizes around the world. Their work has been exhibited worldwide, most notably at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris and the Venice Biennale. Recently, the firm was presented a National Honour Award for Built Architecture from the American Institute of Architects. Jorge Silvetti has taught at the University of California at Berkeley, the Polytechnic Institute of Zurich and the University of Palermo, Italy. Since 1975, he has taught architecture at the Graduate School of Design, Harvard University. He has received numerous international awards and citations for his work and is the first architect ever to receive Progressive Architecture awards in all categories. Contributor to: |
