Rhea Tregebov was born in Saskatoon, raised in Winnipeg, and now lives in Vancouver. She has published six collections of poetry, most recently (alive): Selected and new poems (Wolsak & Wynn, 2004). She has also published five children's picture books. She has edited a number of anthologies including Meltwater (Banff Centre Press 1999), Rip-rap (Banff Centre Press 1999), and Intersections (Banff Centre Press 2000) as well as Gifts: Poems for Parents (Sumach Press, 2002) and the forthcoming Arguing with the Storm: Stories by Yiddish Women Writers (Sumach Press, 2007). Tregebov was co-winner of The Malahat Review Long Poem Competition in 1994 and also received the 1993 Readers' Choice Award for Poetry from Prairie Schooner (Nebraska). She is an Assistant Professor of Creative Writing at the University of British Columbia.
Tregebov has been on the faculty of Writing & Publishing at The Banff Centre.
