"The PlayRites Colony is an exquisite gift to the writer. It offers the most coveted of commodities - uninterrupted space and time to create…The Colony is designed to suit the artists’ needs. We are not asked to fit into a prescribed context or process - instead we devise our own. This independence and overwhelming sense of permission inspires a playfulness in the work and a willingness to take risks."

~ Claudia Dey

A residential program providing playwrights the opportunity to develop a theatre work with the support of dramaturges and a small company of professional actors/readers.
