Program Information
The Leading for Innovation program incorporates content from the groundbreaking book Theory U, and creative practices used at the innovative firm IDEO. We integrate The Banff Centre’s multi-disciplinary environment into the program by collaborating with master artists, in the areas of visual arts, music, and theatre and our ecologist-in-residence, and by employing interactive learning sessions with our experienced faculty.
After attending this program you will be able to:
- Experience a more collaborative approach to creativity and innovation.
- Develop innovative solutions by participating in an action learning process where you will examine actual organizational challenges through the “Theory U Model”.
- Broaden the potential for new possibilities by examining the four stages of listening which will increase your ability to engage in generative dialogue and deep listening with your clients.
- Explore the rapid prototyping process by analyzing business examples of current innovative organizations such as Google and IDEO.
- Develop new responses to organizational challenges by exploring the links between art and business, and nature and business.
