A. F. Moritz has published fifteen volumes of poems, including Early Poems (2002), a republication of his first four books, and Rest on the Flight into Egypt (1999), a finalist for the 2000 Governor General's Award. His poetry has received the Guggenheim Fellowship, the Ingram Merrill Fellowship, the Award in Literature of the American Academy and Institute of Arts and Letters, selection to the Princeton Series of Contemporary Poets, and other honours. He was 2003 Jack B. McClelland Writer-in-Residence at the University of Toronto. His poems have appeared regularly in leading journals and in four editions of the annual Best American Poetry anthology series. He has also published seven books of translation from French and Spanish, and in August 2003 will be a resident at The Banff Centre's International Literary Translation program, working with Chilean poet Ludwig Zeller.
