Bob and Colleen Bonniol – Projection Design

With careers that straddle musical theatre, major concert touring, opera, dance, and branding ‘experience’ this talented pair seeks to weave light, image, and architecture into production design that imprints itself permanently in the psyche...

Recent credits include the Video and Production designs for Nickelback’s All The Right Reasons Tour;  Multimedia Design for Sinatra Live at the London Palladium;  Scenic Video Design for  Grammy Winning rockers 3 Doors Down’s 2005/2006 World Tour;  The award winning projection design for Parsifal at the Seattle Opera (2002 Projection Design of The Year Award);  Video  Content Design for Barry Manilow’s Emmy Award winning show, Music & Passion, at the Las Vegas Hilton;  Production/Video/Lighting Design for the new breakout band, Cartel, in their Live DVD release.

National Tour (Lighting Design); Laurie Anderson’s Moby Dick World Tour (Lighting Direction); Godspell National Tour (Video Design); Footloose National Tour (Projection Design); The Music Of Andrew Lloyd Webber in Concert (Production/Video/Lighting Design) (2003 Triangle Award); Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Starlight Express Las Vegas (Lighting Direction); Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Evita (Las Vegas, Houston, and Tour Lighting & Projection Design)

They are currently designing media and technology to control what will be the world’s largest flat screen, in Beijing.  They have designed large scale projection and media installations in architectural projects in Osaka, Tokyo, and Las Vegas.

Bob and Colleen are on the faculty of The Theatre Department at The California Institute for the Arts, where they teach multimedia and projection design curriculum.  They have been Contributing Editors for Entertainment Design Magazine, Lighting Dimensions, and are regular columnists in Live Design Magazine. 

Their production resource, MODE Studios is located in Seattle, WA.
