Digital Studio

The Visual Arts Digital Studio provides a calibrated environment for the production of pigment-based archival inkjet prints. The facility is maintained by a Visual Arts studio attendant, who assists program participants within the studio setting. Hours of operation are Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 5:00pm.

Priority is given to artists who have specifically requested access to the digital studio environment in their residency applications. The Digital Studio is available to other program participants on a first-come-first-served basis and can be booked upon arrival in Banff. Participants are asked to bring a personal external hard drive for the purpose of file storage.

The focus of the Creative Residencies program is for artists to conduct research, develop new content, and participate in the artistic community. Project proposals that require access to the digital studio for the purpose of editioning or production for the commercial sector are ineligible for inclusion in Creative Residencies programs.
