During the Literary Journalism residency, it has become the program’s tradition to present a series of four guest lecturers who are themselves established writers, editors, journalists, or critics. They are invited to Banff to give a public talk and to make themselves available to program participants for informal discussions. This public lecture series, known formally as Cultural Journalism Conversations, has become a popular addition to the Banff Summer Arts Festival at The Banff Centre. The lectures also serve as a means to which the program broadens the current and prevailing issues in a given year.
