Torbjørn Rødland (born in Stavanger, Norway, 1970) lives and works in Los Angeles. In 2016 he was the fourth artist to present a public art installation as part of the Outside The Box program at the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York. Selected solo exhibitions include Henie Onstad Kunstsenter, Oslo (2015); Kunsthall Stavanger, Norway (2014); Hiroshima City Museum of Contemporary Art, Japan (2010); and MoMA PS1, New York (2006). Rødland has exhibited in group exhibitions including LIT, the 9th Berlin Biennale for Contemporary Art, Akademie der Künste, Berlin; Manifesta 11 biennial, Zürich (2016); Musée d’Art Contemporain de Lyon, France (2009); Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago (2005); Centre Pompidou, Paris (2000) and 48th Venice Biennale (1999).  Recent publications include the monograph, Confabulations by MACK press (2016).
