Wapikoni is a First Nations travelling audiovisual and creation studio. In 2017, for the first time since its 2004 inception, Wapikoni Mobile organized audiovisual creation workshops all across Canada, stopping in 22 Indigenous communities, producing 127 films, and amplifying the voice of Indigenous peoples.

 

Banff Centre invites you to join us for this special one-hour showcase of selected 2017 Wapikoni Mobile films, created by emerging Indigenous filmmakers in their home communities of Splatsin (BC), Vancouver (BC), Clearwater River (SK), Kitigan Zibi (QC), Fort William (ON), Uashat mak Mani Utenam (QC), Pine Creek (MB), Eastmain (QC), Kuujjuaq (QC) and Stoney (AB).
