This residency welcomes Indigenous visual artists, curators, and scholars from all nations around the world to gather here on Treaty 7 Territory. Participants will create new work, collaborate, and investigate technology as a decolonial tool to discuss culture, contemporary art practice, and the future.
This residency will engage stories told through partnership in preparation for performance. Performances will include storytelling with spoken word and music lyricism.
The Walter Phillips Gallery Indigenous Preparatorial Practicum program enables the participant to engage in hands-on opportunities working alongside the gallery’s curator and preparator.
