Choral Art: Choirs
Program Information

Program Overview
Choral Art: Choirs is an intensive weekend workshop that explores the creation and presentation of choral music in the 21st century.
Choirs will explore movement and improvisation as well as refine their sound as an ensemble through workshops, vocal coaching, and masterclasses. Choirs will work closely with the faculty, the participants, and members of Pro Coro Canada to explore new work and techniques.
What does the program offer?
Choirs in this program will become immersed in the world of choral art. They will have the opportunity to collaborate with award-winning, international composition and conductor faculty, and work with ensemble-in-residence Pro Coro Canada.
The weekend aims to create exchange between a circle of creators, leaders, and performers active in the choral music milieu. Theworkshop also aims to support and bring visibility to the Canadian choral community, and encourage collaboration within the Canadian network.
Choirs will explore new approaches to the performance of choral music, and will work on pre-existing repertoire, explore new works, and further refine their craft through coaching and lectures.
Who should apply?
This program has two streams: Choirs and Conductors/Composers. To apply as a conductor or composer, visit the program page.
