Sound Workshop - Calibration and Design Techniques for Modern Sound Systems
This four-day workshop covers the physics of sound, RTAs, dual channel FFTs, optimizable loudspeaker configurations, and sound system alignment.
What does the program offer?
Level one of this two-level workshop (see: Line Arrays, Subwoofer Techniques) offers participants insight into the proper approach when designing and calibrating a sound system of any size for any event. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from faculty Merlijn Van Veen, one of the few people in the world who specializes in this area. This is a rare opportunity to attend a workshop given by Merlijn in North America.
This program will enable participants to create predictable and repeatable sound system designs, regardless of brand and type of speaker, and to verify the results using the dual channel FFT analyzer. The complete transmission path from source to receiver will be thoroughly investigated in the acoustical, electrical, and psycho-acoustical domains.
