Walter Phillips Gallery presents The End Ragnar Kjartansson January 30 - April 18, 2010 Walter Phillips Gallery Shot in the Rocky Mountians, The End, a highly compelling video installation, depicts two musicians-artist Ragnar Kjartansson and his collaborator Davíd Thór Jónsson-playing folk/country meets experimental music in a frigid, lonely place. Both characters are dressed as northern, Davy Crockett-type frontiersmen, an extreme example of a stereotype that persists and contributes to the countless fictions projected upon the western landscape.
