Application Requirements
Applications, supporting materials, and processing fee must be received by the deadline in order to be considered for adjudication.
All applicants must submit:
- Application form and fee: A completed application form including processing fee (fee varies per program and is non-refundable).
- Two-page outline: Describe your background and research or artistic objectives, your interest in the program, and your response to the residency theme (max. 1000 words).
- CV/Resume: Two-pages in length including the names of two referees, as well as links to work samples online if available.
Submissions
All required support materials can be sent as an email attachment to the following address: VisualArts_Registrar@banffcentre.ca. Please indicate “BRiC 2013 Application” in the subject line.
Attachments should be saved as PDF documents, with the program name in the document title. Pages should be numbered with the applicant’s name clearly indicated on each page.
If application support materials are not received, the Office of the Registrar will contact the applicant.
Adjudication and Notification
Participants are selected by impartial adjudicators on the basis of their submitted material. Consideration will be given to the likelihood that the applicant's work will benefit from the program and to provide a balance of participation of artists, writers and academics.
Applicants will be notified of their status as soon as adjudication is complete. The notification date is approximately 10-12 weeks following the application deadline.
