This workshop is an opportunity for master teachers, researchers, and movement artists to get together and share in the wealth of knowledge that is found in historical and theatrical fighting techniques, from all around the world. Everyone from beginners to experts in stage combat, historical martial arts, and theatrical movement are welcome.

The theme of this year's workshop will be a celebration of the living history and development of swordplay and unarmed fighting styles. The workshop will explore classes in historical fighting technique and styles, stage and film combat techniques and process, contemporary martial arts, and movement theory. There will be a focus on how these disciplines have been taught and passed on from teacher to student throughout history. This forum will explore the movement art forms of the past and present, and establish a living library to preserve the international body of research that is found in the study of the art of stage combat. Watch a preview video featuring past participants.

This workshop is presented in partnership with the International Order of the Sword & Pen.
