BNMI Co-production Lab: Self-directed Co-productions
Program dates: Ongoing
Application deadline: Ongoing
Program Information
I know of no finer program for the realization of self-directed projects in new media.
Zack Settel, Self-directed Co-production residency alumni
The Banff New Media Institute (BNMI) invites artists, producers, content creators, and researchers working with form, content, and themes that connect with the field of new media to submit project proposals for Self-directed Co-production residencies.
The Self-directed Co-production program directly assists professional development by providing time and space for the creation of new works and self-directed research. These residencies are ideal for individuals and teams who want to advance creative work that considers the aesthetics, culture, and tools of emerging practices and new media. Applications are adjudicated based on artistic merit, learning goals, technical feasibility, and compatibility with the mandate of the BNMI.
Design your own residency. Projects in all stages, from experimentation to production, are welcome. The perfect space for a creative retreat.
